THE PRICING PHILOSOPHY: HUMAN CENTRIC & TRANSPARENT

Retro Redhead has spent years mastering the art of hair and the business of empathy. This has led to believing in a studio experience that removes "checkout anxiety" and honours the financial reality of my community.

HAIRCUTS: THE UNIVERSAL NECESSITY (Gratuity-Free) We whole heartedly believe a great haircut is a necessity not a luxury. We know many of our clients save for months to invest in their identity, and I want that experience to be free of social pressure.

• The Rule: For all cutting services the price you see is the final price you pay(except for taxes). Our time and expertise are fully built into the rate.

• The Trade: While we do not accept tips for haircuts your support is what keeps this studio growing. In lieu of a tip we invite you to leave a Google Review or refer a fellow 'Art Kid' to our chair. These are the lifeblood of our business and the greatest compliment we can receive.

• The Impact: You also have the option to contribute to Dollar$ 4 Dignity. Our initiative to provide haircuts and confidence boosts to recently housed individuals and folks without the luxury of prioritizing self care .

Investment: $115 | Time: 75 Minutes

For hair at or above the shoulders, or anyone I haven't seen in 9+ months. We use this time to figure out how your hair actually wants to move and reset your baseline. This is the foundation for everything we do later.

Note: If your hair is thick as sin or we are doing a major overhaul, I need more time to get the job done right. Please book The Heavy Hitter Intro so we don't have to rush our time together.

What happens during the session:

• The Chat: We dive into your hair’s history and what you actually need from me.

• The Foundation Cut: Mapping out your natural movement and setting the new shape.

• The Wash: A deep cleanse and a relaxing scalp massage (I’m a low-touch/silent session friendly space just click the button when you book if you want to skip the massage).

• The Finish: A proper blowdry or diffuser set to see the final result.

• Investment: $160.00 | Time: 105 Minutes

  For hair past the shoulders, high-density/thick hair, or if you're doing a big transformation (long-to-short). We need this time to carve out the weight, map out the shape, and make sure your hair has the freedom to move.

  What happens during the session:

  • The Chat: An honest look at your hair’s history and what you need from your environment while you're here.

  • The Foundation Cut: Technical work to reset your baseline and create a shape that works for your hair type and lifestyle.

  • The Wash: A detoxifying cleanse and a relaxing scalp massage (low-touch and silent options are always on the table).

  • The Finish: An extended blowdry or diffuser set to see how the new shape lives and breathes.

Expect these inputs during your session. Everything here is adjustable.

• Aural (Sound): Sharp scissor "snips" near the ears and high-velocity airflow. We have invested in “quiet” blowdryers but disposable earplugs are always available (or feel free to bring your own noise cancelling ear buds). Note: Background music is not always rated PG.

• Tactile (Touch): Temperature controlled water, scalp pressure, and repetitive sectioning. Product textures vary from foams to liquids. Your comfort is always first. Low touch/skip the scalp massage is always an option.

• Olfactory (Smell): Low toxin, professional grade botanicals. Faint citrus and botanical extracts. Note: The studio diffuser usually contains Patchouli.
