We are so grateful to join you on this adventure into a new and inclusive salon experience. Our stylists are hard at work learning and growing more than just our hair skills. As the first salon in the area, possibly anywhere, catering to neurodiverse folks we are very aware how hard this may be for some of you. Please know this is a learning experience for us as well.

Retro Redhead is committed to providing a safer space for people who have felt like they never really fit in. Maybe you were the “weird” one, the quiet one who was scared to use their voice, or perhaps you just believe in love, kindness and a hippy/happy asshole free lifestyle. Regardless of the reason we’re glad you’re here.

We offer sensory accomodations for our friends who need (or even just want) them. Andrea Van Der Merwe (future MSW) will be providing training to all Retro Redhead staff so we can provide a safer space for trauma survivors, recently housed friends, and newly sober folks.

Even with all this, sometimes we (usually Sam) say the wrong things at the wrong time. What makes us different is we WANT your feedback, we want to know, we want to grow our knowledge. This goes beyond DEI, beyond inclusivity. It’s a choice! We choose to be better humans.
